1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Beyond Africa Safaris website (operated by Gray Line South Africa), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Tour Bookings & Reservations

  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Beyond Africa Safaris.
  • A booking is confirmed only after you receive a written confirmation email or e-ticket from us.
  • Tour prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated. Currency conversions shown on the website are approximate and for convenience only.
  • We reserve the right to adjust prices due to currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, or changes in local taxes.
  • Special requirements (dietary, accessibility, etc.) must be communicated at the time of booking.

3. Payment Terms

  • We accept payments via PayPal, Yoco (credit/debit card), and direct bank transfer (EFT).
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless a "Pay Later" option is offered for the specific tour.
  • For Pay Later bookings, the balance must be settled at least 48 hours before the tour departure date.
  • All transactions are processed in South African Rand (ZAR). Your bank may apply additional currency conversion fees.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • More than 7 days before departure: Full refund minus a 10% administrative fee.
  • 3–7 days before departure: 50% refund of the tour price.
  • Less than 3 days before departure: No refund will be provided.
  • No-shows: No refund or rebooking is offered for no-shows.
  • We reserve the right to cancel a tour due to severe weather, safety concerns, or insufficient minimum group sizes. In such cases, a full refund or alternative date will be offered.
  • Refunds are processed within 7–14 business days to the original payment method.

5. Tour Participation

  • Participants must arrive at the designated pick-up point at the specified time. We are not liable for delays caused by late arrivals.
  • A valid form of identification (passport for international visitors) may be required for certain tours.
  • Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • We reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who may pose a safety risk to themselves or others.
  • Participants are expected to follow the instructions of our guides and tour leaders at all times.

6. Liability & Insurance

Beyond Africa Safaris acts as a tour operator and arranges experiences with local suppliers and venues. While we take every precaution to ensure your safety:

  • We are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property during tours, except where caused by our proven negligence.
  • We strongly recommend that all travellers obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and personal belongings.
  • Our liability for any claim is limited to the cost of the tour booked.
  • We are not responsible for delays or changes caused by factors outside our control, including weather, traffic, strikes, or government regulations.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including text, images, logos, graphics, and videos—is the property of Beyond Africa Safaris or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written permission.

8. Third-Party Links & Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites and booking platforms (such as Viator, GetYourGuide, and TripAdvisor). These links are provided for your convenience. We do not control or endorse these sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms of service. Bookings made through third-party platforms are subject to their respective terms.

  • You may create an account on our website to manage bookings and save preferences.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be resolved in the courts of South Africa.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
